A good condition handsome old house in a prime spot on Mill Road, Cambridge’s “second city Centre”

The property was nice and clean with good facilities, it has a communal kitchen and parking. There were x2 significant issues that really let the Property down for us. 1. The mattress was probably the worst I’ve ever slept on, the springs digging into my back was actually painful. I had to go out and buy a duvet to act as a mattress protector which improved it. Disappointingly, other reviewers mention this but it has not been actioned. 2. The room was so cold, heat wasn’t coming out of the radiator. Luckily there was a little electric heater but I also had to buy myself a hot water bottle. Another issue was there were only enough tea / coffee / UHT milk for x1 day. We stayed x4 so went without. They also phoned me to ask if they could come in to do electric testing, I wasn’t keen on this either having our room disturbed.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We would have liked more tea bags in the room…just one each per day!!!! ?????? The bar was rather bland and cold but the rooms and corridors were fine!!

Lovely hotel. Walking distance to Cambridge city centre. Great food and excellent service. Our room (Cinema suite) was super. Just the parking lets it down from getting the extra rating star

Lovely hotel. Beds a bit uncomfortable though only issue really. But would not rate it down just for this lovely stay ☺️. Friendly staff
